GHANSHYAM BHANDAGE'S `KENGULABI` STARTS GOWRISH AKKI HERO

Even before the full fledge role in ‘Cinema My Darling’ TV journalist Gowri Akki has turned hero is a showcase of his talent also. The film ‘Kengulabi’ stars Gowrish Akki with Ranjani and Yogitha in Vaishnodevi Creations.


The film went on the floor on Monday at Doddaganapathi temple. Ghanshyam Bhandage who made ‘Ingale Maarga’ (based on novel of Sarjoo Katkar, Devaraya Marga) is joining hands with Basanagowda Malipatila as joint producer.

Barefoot freedom fighter HS Doreswamy lighted the lamp, Shwasaguru Sri Vachananda Swamiji showed clap board, Hariprakash Konemane, chief editor of Vijayavani switched on camera for the muhurut shot.


‘Kengulabi’ is based on novel of Hanumantha Haligeri. Srisha has done screenplay and directing the film.

Gowrish Akki plays the NGO role with rebellious nature. There is social concern and also tucked with a beautiful love story. This is the first film Gowrish Akki is in lead role.

Raju Talikote, Bank Janardhan, Krama Hosakeri, Kasthuramma, Kapperoy, Manjamma Jogathi, UN Uma, Kallesh Koppal, Sainath, Jalendra and others are in cast. Raj Kishor scores music, Kumar Chakravarthy is cameraman. Raju in dance, Vasanth Rao M Kulkarni in art are in the team.
